S.O.U.L.S. discusses sex trafficking in Boston

Ally Thibault Journal Staff S.O.U.L.S. held their monthly Food For Thought discussion Wednesday, which focused on sex and human trafficking in America and abroad.  Featuring guest speakers Rebecca Merrill and Allison Duchcek, of the BostonInitiative to Advance Human Rights (BITAHR), the event aimed to raise awareness and advocacy for victims of human trafficking.

Suffolk shows interest in One Franklin

On Thursday it was announced that the developer Millennium Partners had purchased a 50% stake in the One Franklin project in Boston’s Downtown Crossing neighborhood. One Franklin is the name of the project which resulted in the demolition of the historic Filene’s building and left a crater in the ground for years. It has since been considered one of the biggest development blunders in the city’s history and has been Menino’s top development priority for getting back on track.

The exhibit showcased the work of an all-female cast of artists: Alexa Guariglia, Lena Gustafson, Kira Leigh, ans Jordan Piantedo.
